The firm, together with its co-counsel, has filed a consumer class action against Generac Power Systems. Inc. on behalf of all current and former purchasers or lessees of Generac PWRcell systems. The case has been consolidated with other cases into a nationwide class action. The firm is a member of the Plaintiff’s Executive Committee. STET units, which are safety devices within the PWRcell systems, are alleged to be defective and dangerous to consumers and their homes. The system’s shutoff devices malfunction by becoming overactive, and repeatedly turn off and on. This can cause them to overheat, bubble, burn and explode, resulting in charring and home fires. In addition, the defect results in a loss of energy production for consumers’ home energy systems by shutting down entire panels for prolonged periods of time or complete shutdowns of their entire energy system.
If you have experienced this defect with your Generac PWRcell system and have received an estimate or have paid for a repair, you may be entitled to compensation in the event this case resolves.
